Job Description

Role Expectations:

The QA Analyst will work on projects involving Retail Point of Sale (POS) systems, specifically Oracle Xstore 17. Responsibilities include:

  1. Assessing risk to determine appropriate levels of testing.
  2. Utilizing code repositories like Gitlab.
  3. Managing projects and defect tracking through JIRA.
  4. Leading ambiguous situations, solving IT issues, and ensuring on-time project deliverables within budget.
  5. Developing, implementing, and managing manual/automated testing systems.
  6. Writing clear technical specifications and exhibiting strong estimating and planning skills.
  7. Leading and owning the testing process while mentoring team members.
  8. Communicating effectively across teams and managing project testing independently.


Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or Certification in Networking and Computer Systems or equivalent experience.
  2. Automation experience in Oracle Xstore or desktop devices is highly valued.
  3. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and test automation
  4. Experience in system performance testing for Oracle Xstore is a plus.
  5. Retail POS testing knowledge and hands-on experience is a must, preferably with XStore or ORPOS
  6. Functional testing, Integration testing, Regression testing, Smoke testing, and Mobile testing experience.
  7. Experience with manual and automated testing of desktop and mobile POS applications.
  8. Knowledge of SQL for data validation with Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server database.
  9. 5+ years of QA experience , with 2+ years testing experience in Retail POS domain.
  10. Prior testing experience in Oracle Xstore or similar POS registers/devices is highly valued.
  11. Strong technical documentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  12. Familiarity with IT SDLC processes (Agile, Scrum, Kanban) and compliance requirements (PII, PCI & SOX).
  13. Ability to collaborate with different project teams managing competing priorities
  14. Prior experience in automating Point of sale use cases is desired
  15. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  16. Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
  17. Excellent communication and documentation skills.
